A keen eye for colour and design developed at an early age while helping my father in his commercial art business in Brisbane. A coastal childhood and family bush camping in natural surroundings is where my inspiration dawns.
Now with my grown family's encouragement I've picked up my art where I left off at the age of 15, honing my painting skills with the support of artist's workshops and painting regularly with other artists. All have shared many techniques and artistic knowledge which has continued to help me develop my painting style.
My practice is diverse by nature, working in acrylic and inks with texture to create interest, often employing bold colours in a contemporary and large manner. Exploration is vital for my journey and creation is never far from my mind nor colour from a brush in my hand.
My works are held in private collections nationally from Darwin to Melbourne and Internationally in Canada and Japan.
I've been involved in many group exhibitions and invitational joint exhibitions, receiving several accolades throughout Wide Bay and North Burnett all of which have given the imputes to produce a body of work and invaluable exhibition experience to achieve my first solo exhibition on the Fraser Coast 2019.
